Classes Offered

Choirs are scheduled to be started for children ages 4-7 years and for ages 8 and up.   Classes and private music lessons will be offered for weekday afternoons in voice, piano, theory, and kid choirs.  Workshops and clinics will also be offered in Christian worship, acting, puppetry, improvisation, music and other arts.

The graded choirs for children offered are a great option for home school children as well as private and public school children.  Basic music concepts will be taught in a graded choir setting.  Two choirs will be offered depending on demand with one for children ages 4-7 years of age and one for children ages 8-12.

Our Vision for the Academy of Arts & Worship

Music and the arts are to be offered in worship to the glory of God.  We believe that one of our primary purposes is to give glory to God in the name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit.  We believe in teaching music and the arts from a Christian perspective rather than from a secular worldview.

Martin Luther stated that “Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul.”  He also said that “next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.”  The Psalmist proclaimed that “with praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress.  It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless” (Psalm 8:2, CEV).
